Seagulls and Tupelo Honey

How does a seagull painting and the Van Morrison song Tupelo Honey get on the same page? I don't know, this guy just takes me back to the song. I was 17 years old when I first heard it. The song stirs up lots of emotions, old feelings. Anyway, the bird is "sweet as Tupelo honey" to me, and to get that feeling from one of my paintings is "alright with me"

About Me

I am Betty Moore, a self taught watercolor artist living in Southern Illinois. I enjoy painting birds...seagulls, egrets, pelicans and other water and wading birds. The lake in my back yard is my endless muse. I enjoy painting fresh vegetables and fruits and other kitchen art as well. I grew up in a time when the kitchen was truly the heart of the home, making this subject dear to me. While I am a fairly new watercolor artist I paint prolifically, if the sun comes up I am probably painting. I use quality artist grade watercolor paper and paints. Prints of my work are Giclee quality. My work is in private collections, with a great sense of pride connected to each piece.
